Bahrain introduced VAT in 2019 and raised the standard rate from 5% to 10% from 1 January 2022. Invoices are in Bahraini dinars, which have three decimal places — a detail generic tools often get wrong.
Three decimals done right
1.500 on a Bahraini invoice means one and a half dinars, not one thousand five hundred. AlFasil knows BHD (like KWD and OMR) has three minor digits, keeps the precision, and rounds its checks to the fils.
What AlFasil checks
- VAT rate: 10% (or 0%). Invoices dated before 2022 may legitimately show 5%; AlFasil flags the rate so you can confirm.
- VAT math and totals, including Arabic-Indic digits and the د.ب symbol.
- Duplicates across everything you’ve uploaded.
