How AlFasil works
From a pile of files to an import file in four steps. You only do two of them.
Upload
PDFs, phone photos, e-invoice XML, or a ZIP of all of them. iPhone photos are converted in your browser.
AlFasil reads and checks
Photos and scans are read field by field; e-invoice XML is read exactly, without AI. Every total, tax amount and QR code is cross-checked, and repeats are flagged.
You review
Anything AlFasil isn't sure about is highlighted in yellow, with the reason in plain words. Fix it in place or approve it.
Export
Excel or CSV, one row per invoice or per line item, or shaped for Xero, QuickBooks or Zoho Books.
Every number checked before it reaches your books
Reading an invoice is half the job. AlFasil also checks it the way a careful bookkeeper would.
- Line items add up to the subtotal
- Subtotal − discount + shipping + VAT equals the total
- The VAT amount matches the VAT rate
- The rate is normal for the supplier's country: 5% UAE, 15% Saudi Arabia, 10% Bahrain, 20% UK…
- TRN and VAT numbers have the right format
- Saudi invoices: VAT number, date, total and VAT match the ZATCA QR code
- The due date comes after the issue date, and nothing is dated in the future
- Files and invoices you already uploaded are flagged as duplicates
- Hijri dates are converted to Gregorian, and the original is kept

Bilingual invoices, Arabic-Indic digits, decimal commas and three-decimal currencies like KWD and BHD.
Questions about the product
Which languages does AlFasil read?
English, Arabic and documents that mix the two, including Arabic-Indic digits. Most other Latin-script languages work too. The app itself is in English or Arabic, whichever you prefer.
Which files can I upload?
PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF and e-invoice XML (UBL: ZATCA, UAE PINT AE, Peppol). iPhone HEIC photos are converted in your browser, and ZIP files are unpacked in your browser before upload.
How accurate is it?
Clear, typed invoices are read very reliably: in our latest test run on the Pro plan, 99% of totals were read correctly. Blurry photos, stamps over numbers and handwriting are harder, which is why every total is cross-checked and anything uncertain is highlighted for you to confirm.
Do I still need this once e-invoicing is mandatory?
E-invoicing covers invoices between registered businesses. Receipts, small and foreign suppliers, and older paper still need reading. When you do receive the XML, AlFasil reads it exactly and puts it in the same export as everything else.
Is AlFasil accounting software?
No. AlFasil does the data entry and gives you a file to import into the accounting software you already use.
