Receipts are the hardest documents to keep on top of: they’re small, they fade, and they arrive in pockets and glove boxes. AlFasil turns a photo of each receipt into a row in a spreadsheet.
Photos straight from your phone
Take photos with your phone and upload them as they are — including iPhone HEIC photos, which are converted in your browser before upload. Large photos are resized automatically; it doesn’t reduce accuracy.
For a stack of receipts, put the photos in a folder, zip it, and drop the ZIP file. AlFasil unpacks it in your browser and processes every image.
What’s captured from a receipt
- Merchant name and tax number (TRN / VAT number) when printed
- Receipt number and date
- Items with quantities and prices (when the receipt lists them)
- VAT rate and amount
- Total and currency
Receipts often don’t carry an invoice number, so AlFasil doesn’t flag that as missing on receipts. It still checks that items, VAT and total agree.
Thermal paper and faded receipts
Thermal receipts fade over time. Photograph them soon, on a dark background, in good light. If a number is hard to read, AlFasil marks it for review rather than guessing.
Export for expenses
Export one row per receipt for an expense claim, or one row per item for analysis. CSV files include a byte-order mark so Excel shows Arabic text correctly.
