Zoho Books is popular across the Gulf, and it can import bills from a file. AlFasil turns your supplier invoices — Arabic, English or both — into that file. (AlFasil is compatible with Zoho Books; it isn’t affiliated with Zoho.)
Export for Zoho Books
Choose Zoho Books bills import (beta) in the export dialog. Each line becomes a row with bill date, bill number, vendor name, due date, currency, account, description, quantity, rate, tax percentage and item total. Set a default account and tax name once.
Map the fields on import
Zoho Books shows a field-mapping step when you import. The first time, check that each AlFasil column maps to the right Zoho field and save the mapping. If your organisation uses custom fields, add them with My own columns in AlFasil.
VAT in the Gulf
For UAE and Saudi suppliers, AlFasil checks that the VAT rate is 5% or 15% respectively and that the supplier’s TRN or VAT number has the right format — mistakes you’d otherwise discover at return time.
